THIS WEEK AT THE DIGITAL CAFÉ TOUR'S
SUMMER 2006 LIVE CONCERT SERIES:

Updated 7/10/06

July 15, 2006 - 8:30 PM - Indie Women Rising II. Montclair local folk rock hero, Susan Chamberlain and New York's own piano-wielding songstress, Clare Cooper.

Originally from Boston, Susan Chamberlain began her artistic journey as a classical ballet dancer from the ages of 4 to 17, followed by studies in choreography, music, acting, film, and writing at Emerson College. A writer of provocative songs that move you down to the muscle and the bone, her music has been described as everything from "ethereal" and "angelic" to "bluesy" and "bold". She is currently working with various musicians, preparing to record an upcoming CD, and performing throughout the east coast.

Clare Cooper has won songwriting awards from the Songwriter's Guild of America, Songwriter's Hall of Fame and Billboard. She is a keyboard player and singer who performs both as a solo artist and band member, has recorded with a variety of artists and has performed in Off-Broadway shows including Tony 'n Tina's Wedding and Memphis. Her 1st CD, "Valentine," has received radio play locally and in Europe. Clare was featured on "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy" last summer. She is also the keyboardist for Miss Babs & the Kickin' Boogie Band, which was featured on AMC's "Into Character."

Each show is hosted by our official DCT emcee, WDHA-FM's Jeff Charone. The Luna Stage crew created a top-notch stage and lighting design, while DCT sponsor QSC has provided a state-of-the-art sound system. Don't miss a show! But if you do, you can catch it soon at http://www.digitalcafetour.com!
